How IGL billing works
- Metered in SCM: the meter counts standard cubic metres; the bill is SCM × rate. No slabs — one flat rate.
- Bi-monthly bills: IGL bills every two months, part actual reading and part assessed. A cooking-only family typically sees ₹800–₹1,500 per bill.
- Rate revisions: IGL revises prices with gas-cost changes — ₹47.76 in Jan 2026, ₹49.46 since Apr 2026 for Noida/GN. The rate box above is editable for when it moves again.
PNG vs cylinder vs society LPG — the renter's question
- IGL PNG: ~₹820 for a cylinder's worth of cooking energy. Never runs out, no booking, pay-per-use. Best option where the building has it.
- 14.2 kg cylinder: ~₹853 flat. Fine for small usage, but you manage booking, delivery and the mid-cooking surprise.
- Society reticulated LPG (per kg): common in Noida Extension high-rises at ₹95–₹120/kg — usually the costliest of the three. Ask the ₹/kg before renting; it's a real monthly difference.
